Farmers and workers around the world are on the front line of the climate crisis, from rising temperatures and changing weather patterns to deforestation and water scarcity.

Many farmers in countries vulnerable to climate change say it’s the biggest challenge they face right now – and they’ve done the least to cause it. 

With the climate crisis increasingly threatening their livelihoods, it can be hard for farmers to fight back. Particularly when they’ve been on the receiving end of decades of poor prices for their crops, and paying for daily basics is already a struggle.

But with your help, we can change this. Anything you can give helps us strengthen Fairtrade around the world.

A stronger Fairtrade means more farmers getting Fairtrade’s guaranteed Minimum Price, a literal lifeline when market prices crash. And an extra Fairtrade Premium payment with their sales, which they can invest in the services they need, like education, environmental protection or clean water supplies.

A stronger Fairtrade also means more support, training and resources for farmers and workers struggling to deal with the effects of the climate crisis.

Making a regular donation helps us offer long-term support to farmers, as they take up the long-term project of producing to Fairtrade’s high ethical and quality standards.

Your donations allow us to offer training programmes, business development opportunities and projects like our Women’s School of Leadership, working hard with us to change the global system and escape poverty.
